1890's linen dress

Made from three coordinated linen fabrics, this dress has the classic 1890's style. I backed the navy trim with the bright spring green linen used in the bodice so it would show up well against the main iridescent green/blue linen. Adding blue iris beaded fringe was the finishing touch.

The parasol has a modern plastic handle but I covered it with beige silk broadcloth and lined it with cream silk habotai. The ruffles make it fun to carry.
